AVBI Short ("we", "us") is operated by Jeany Austin Ngoumeni Nkeudjeu, Boulevard de triomphe 151, 1050 Bruxelles, Belgium. This policy explains what we collect when you use the AVBI Short app and website, why, and your rights. Contact: support@avbi.live.

What we collect

Account data: your email address, first and last name, and — if you use Google or Apple sign-in — the identifier those services give us. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email address.
Content you upload: sermon videos, the transcripts we generate from them, and the shorts we produce.
Billing data: your plan, balances and subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe, Apple or Google; we never see or store them.
Technical data: IP address and device information in security logs, used to protect accounts and prevent abuse.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your data.

Why we use it

To provide the service: sign you in, process your videos and deliver your shorts (performance of a contract).
To bill subscriptions and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
To secure the service and prevent fraud (legitimate interest).
To send service emails such as sign-in codes and account notices.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run AVBI Short, under contracts that protect it:

Hetzner (Germany) — servers and database.
Cloudflare R2 — storage of videos and shorts.
AssemblyAI — speech-to-text transcription of the audio of your videos.
OpenAI — analysis of transcripts to select the best moments. Data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
Stripe, Apple, Google and RevenueCat — payments and subscriptions.
Mailgun (EU region) — delivery of emails.
Google and Apple — sign-in, when you choose those options.

Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area; transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

How long we keep it

Account data: as long as your account exists.
Uploaded videos and shorts: as long as your account exists, unless you delete them earlier. We may remove source videos older than 90 days to limit storage.
Invoices and payment records: as long as required by accounting law.
Security logs: up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict some processing. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the account deletion page. For any other request, email us. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Belgium: the Data Protection Authority, dataprotectionauthority.be).

Children

AVBI Short is not intended for children under 16.

We will post any update on this page and notify you of important changes by email.
